Sometimes in my blogs, I use abbreviations or terms that you may not recognize. If you’re a new reader or just need a refresher, you can use this page to help you understand the nonsense that I’ve written.

JMP:

Jo Marie Payton: This is the actress who plays Harriette. Fun fact: Harriette’s character was originally an elevator operator on the show Perfect Strangers, making her the only person in the world who knows both Steven Q. Urkel and Balki Bartokomous.

Edit: This Balki factoid was in this glossary for almost two years before I saw stumbled onto a scene in Perfect Strangers where Carl and Balki interact. I’m actually a bit disappointed in you guys, you’re usually all over me for this kind of stuff. But it was also fun to discover on my own.

NLR

New Little Ritchie: Between the first and second seasons of Family Matters, the role of Little Ritchie was recast. I use NLR to let you know that I’m talking about the second version of this character, who is played by Bryton James.

RVJ

Reginald VelJohnson: This is the actor who plays Carl Winslow. He also helped save Nakatomi Plaza on Christmas Eve 1988.

Shitty Rodney

Eddie’s best friend Rodney, who is shitty. Honestly, you should have figured this one out on your own. Shitty Rodney was as bad of a friend to Eddie as Willie was to Waldo. I’m glad that Eddie and Waldo came to their senses and chose each other instead.

SUBtotal

Shit Urkel Broke total: This abbreviation is used to let you know the exact amount of shit that Steve Urkel has broken to that point of the story.

Turn-and-Smile

That thing where someone in the title sequence realizes the camera is on them, stops what they’re doing, and turns and smiles at the camera.

WGF

Waldo Geraldo Faldo, also known as “The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived.” Sorry, Austin Aries.

Winslow King

The nickname that Eddie gave himself in Episode 1.22. He’s quite the humble guy.
